Pink Slips
A pink slip is a safety inspection report that proves your car or motor bike is roadworthy.
Safety Inspections must be carried out at Authorised Inspection Stations and are required for all cars older than five years, and is a condition of registration renewal (this will be shown on your renewal notice).

e Safety Check
An e-Safety Check is the same as a pink slip but is sent to the RTA electronically.
This way you can renew your rego online or by phone.



White Slip
A white slip is given when the vehicle requires repairs before a vehicle can be registered.
Once the repairs are carried out the vehicle is re-inspected and will then receive a pink or blue slip.
